Get ready for 11 unforgettable days combining two completely different sides of Morocco, from learning to surf along the coast and spending slow days by the ocean to road tripping deep into the Sahara, sandboarding across the dunes and sleeping under the desert stars.
Along the way we’ll explore Paradise Valley, experience local Moroccan culture, visit small towns and local producers, chase sunsets, share rooftop dinners and finish with an unreal adventure through the desert.

Itinerary
Day 1Welcome to Morocco!
We’ll be picked up from the airport and taken to our surf house, where we’ll be welcomed with Moroccan tea and sweets. The rest of the afternoon is free to settle in, relax or head to the beach for a sunset swim before dinner on the rooftop, followed by a bonfire and music.
DAY 2Surf day
After breakfast, it’s time for our first surf lesson. We’ll head to the beach for a 3-hour lesson, then you can stay as long as you like to keep practising, swim or just relax by the ocean. Later, we’ll head back to the surf house for some downtime before dinner and another chilled evening.
DAY 3Surf day
Another slow morning before heading back to the beach for our second surf lesson. You’ll have plenty of time after the lesson to practise, hang out at the beach or head back to the surf house whenever you’re ready. We’ll finish the day with dinner and a relaxed evening together.
DAY 4Paradise Valley
Today we swap the surfboard for a little adventure inland. We’ll head to Paradise Valley, stopping along the way at a women’s argan cooperative before continuing into the valley. After a short hike, we’ll have time to swim, relax and enjoy the pools and cliffs before lunch and making our way back to the surf house for dinner.
DAY 5Imsouane day trip
Today we’re heading to Imsouane, one of Morocco’s most famous surf spots. We’ll spend the day by the coast with our surf lesson, plenty of time to practise, relax on the beach and explore the area before heading back to the surf house later in the day.
DAY 6Final surf day
One last surf day before we leave the coast behind. We’ll head out for our fourth surf lesson, with plenty of time afterwards to enjoy the beach, swim or make the most of the final afternoon by the ocean. In the evening, we’ll head back to the surf house for dinner and get ready for the road trip ahead.
DAY 7Road trip to the Sahara
Today the desert adventure begins. We’ll leave early and start making our way inland, stopping for breakfast in Taroudant and visiting a local saffron producer in Taliouine. Along the way, we’ll visit abandoned caves and meet local nomads before stopping for lunch with a family of carpet producers in Tazenakht. We’ll continue through one of the region’s huge oasis landscapes before checking into our hotel for dinner and a relaxed evening.
DAY 8Into the desert
After breakfast, we’ll have some time to relax before continuing towards Zagora. We’ll explore the town, visit local clay architecture and stop at a silver producer and museum before heading to M’Hamid at the edge of the Sahara. From there, we’ll switch into 4x4s and drive through the dunes to our desert camp. We’ll spend the afternoon sandboarding and watching sunset from the dunes before dinner, a bonfire and traditional desert music under the stars.

Surf locations in particular may change depending on the conditions on the day so we can make the most of the best and safest waves available.
Where changes are needed, we’ll always do our best to keep the experience as close to the planned itinerary as possible.
DAY 9Sunrise camel ride + Aït Ben Haddou
We’ll wake early for a sunrise camel ride before breakfast at camp. After leaving the desert, we’ll stop at the pottery producers in Tamegroute before continuing towards Ouarzazate. We’ll visit Atlas Studios, where productions including Gladiator and Game of Thrones have filmed, before making our way to Aït Ben Haddou for the night.
DAY 10Return to the coast
We’ll start the morning with a sunrise walk before heading back to the hotel for breakfast and some time to relax. From there, we’ll begin the scenic drive back towards the coast, with plenty of beautiful landscapes and photo stops along the way. We’ll arrive back at the surf house later in the day and settle in for our final night together.
DAY 11Goodbyes (for now!)
Enjoy one last slow morning before it’s time to say goodbye. You’ll have some free time before your airport transfer, then the trip officially comes to an end. Where We’re Staying
Throughout the trip, we’ll be staying in a mix of hostels, hotels and a desert camp, giving us a balance between relaxed coastal stays and more adventurous nights along the way.
While we’re by the coast, we’ll be based in a social, comfortable hostel close to the beach, perfect for surf days, slow mornings and hanging out with the group between activities.
As we make our way inland, we’ll switch to hotels where we can properly recharge between travel days and desert adventures.
One of the biggest highlights will be our night in the Sahara Desert, where we’ll stay at a desert camp surrounded by the dunes and spend the evening under the stars.
Accommodation will be arranged on a shared basis depending on the property, and some stays will be more basic than others, but that’s all part of experiencing the different sides of Morocco.

Not at all! Most people who join my group trips come completely solo.
The whole idea behind these trips is to make it easier to travel somewhere incredible even if you don’t have someone to go with. We’ll all meet in Bali at the beginning of the trip and travel through Banggai together from there.

The surf lessons are beginner-friendly, so you absolutely do not need any previous surfing experience. If you’ve surfed before, you’ll still be able to make the most of the sessions and time in the water.

The surf days are there to be enjoyed, not forced. If you’d rather sit one out, relax on the beach or just take things slower, you can.

Think lightweight clothes for the coast, swimmers, comfortable shoes, sun protection and a few warmer layers for the desert.
Desert mornings and evenings can get surprisingly cool, so bringing layers is definitely important.

Morocco is a relatively conservative country, so I’d recommend packing a mix of normal travel clothes and a few more modest options, especially for towns, villages and cultural visits.
Swimwear is completely fine at the beach, surf spots and accommodation pools where appropriate.

Yes. Travel insurance is mandatory for everyone joining the trip.
Your policy should cover medical expenses, cancellations and delays, lost belongings and the activities included in the itinerary.

Visa requirements depend on your nationality, so you’ll need to check the entry requirements for your own passport before travelling.

You only need a $250 deposit (this is non refundable) to secure your spot, and the remaining balance can be paid off through a payment plan.
Once your deposit is paid, your spot is officially secured and you’ll be able to follow the payment schedule from there.
